I have used this type of lamp for many years as I love to read in bed and I have a book case head board. My problem was most I saw had very short clips and they do not hold very well and after some time the clip just breaks. Well the problem has been solved!! This lamp is quality and has a substantial clip and I do not forsee any problems with this lamp. My husband and I are so pleased we are going to order our third lamp. I have macular degeneration and need very good light to read by so I have one on my computer desk, one on our head board and will be ordering one to clip to our book case shelve above my head for extremely bright light to read by. Also love the many colors we have one in red one in blue and will be ordering one in ivory.
