2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  My personal choice for use both at home and in the office, This review is from: OttLite Sydney Desk Lamp (Tools & Home Improvement) I came across Ott products (including a desk lamp very similar to this model) a few years ago and was attracted by the claim that the light spectrum produced by the bulb is the closest to natural light and therefore more healthy (and producing less eye-strain) than more common incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.I've since purchased Ott desk lamps and use them at my office and home, and I have Ott floor lamps in both places including by the bedside for reading at night. In my experience over this period of several years I am convinced that the Ott bulbs do produce very natural lighting for comfortable reading and I am completely satisfied with them. I have also had no problems with any of my Ott products (2 desk lamps and 3 floor lamps), either with respect to the quality of the lamps or lifespan of the bulbs.
