This lamp would not come on when the on button was pushed. I sent it back as defective. Took seconds to assemble. It has a small/sturdy footprint. Easy to turn on and off, nice and bright. We use it curved over, to light up his homework area. Love it! On my desk or on a night stand it doesn't appear bulky. When I'm reading I can bend the tulip bulb (the white part at the top) after extending it out - it has a goose neck that's hidden. The light cast has a very clean feel to my eyes. Not that yellowish look, but more like natural daylight which OttLite is known for. Two things I would like to see different about this lamp: 1 - The power button should have a rounder or circle shape versus being oval, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to turn on/off. 2 - Elimination of any buzzing noise when the light is turned on. I can't tell if it's the light bulb or transformer. Kinda distracting when reading a book and you sit really close to it. Overall I am really enjoying the lamp.
