I will primarily use it for crafting/sewing but at the moment I have been using it as a reading light. I like that it can be used as a torchiere or the neck can be extended to use as a desk lamp, with the light pointed wherever you may need it. The only thing I do not like about it (and it's really not a big deal) is the shape of the on/off switch, which would have been better had it been circular. Overall, I'm very please with this light and would recommend it to anyone! My son had a OttLite that was discontinued that I tried to get but I choose this as an alternative. It is so pretty, I have it in Pearl. I am using it as a night stand light in my master bedroom. I love that the base is so small that it doesn't take up much needed room on a nightstand. I use it to read at night and it is even enough light to use just facing up, without even bending towards me. The cast of light is so clean. This is a great light. I was thinking would also make a great addition to a baby's room (blue/pink). Got this at a great price here on Amazon. This one's a winner! I love the Ott lights, with their soft natural light and I hope to have the lamp for many years to come.
